TV diary: Monday 6th May

So I've started my new course at City University in Factual and Documentary Filmmaking. I know it's going to be the best course ever. How do I know? Because our homework is to watch as much TV as we can (presumably concentrating on factual and documentary content, though that wasn't part of the brief!)

For week 1, we have to look at TV schedules. Our teacher, Nicola Gibson, says there are no accidents. So I thought I would compare this evening's schedules for BBC3, BBC4 and Channel 5. I expected BBC4 to be full of brain-achingly high brow documentaries, and BBC3 and Channel 5 to be at the other end of the spectrum. This is what I found:

BBC3
